By using WineVision, you accept the following terms.
Audience
WineVision is about wine, an alcoholic beverage. The app is reserved for people of legal drinking age in their country (18 in France).
Alcohol abuse is dangerous for your health; drink responsibly.
The service
WineVision identifies wines from a photo, presents information entries, and lets you manage a personal cellar.
The free plan includes 5 scans per month, 25 bottles in the cellar and 3 questions per day to the assistant. The Premium plan removes these limits; its price and cancellation terms are shown before any purchase, which goes through your phone’s app store.
Reliability of information
Identification by photo can be wrong: the app shows a confidence level and asks you to confirm when in doubt.
Price estimates are indicative, dated and sourced; they are neither an appraisal nor an offer to buy. Missing information is shown as “unavailable” rather than invented.
The assistant’s answers are produced by artificial intelligence and may contain errors.
Trademarks and content
The names of wines, estates and houses mentioned are trademarks of their respective owners. They are used to designate the products; WineVision is not affiliated with any producer.
Photos come from Wikimedia Commons and Flickr under free licences, with the author’s name and licence shown under each image, or from users who suggested them.
A rights holder who wishes content to be removed can write to contact@synthocode.studio; the request is handled within 15 days.
Your contributions
By suggesting a photo to the catalogue, you confirm that you took it and authorise WineVision to display it in the app. You can withdraw a suggestion as long as it has not been published.
By suggesting information about a wine (vintage, alcohol, classification, note), you authorise WineVision to publish it on the entry once verified. Give the source when you know it: information that cannot be verified will not be published.
Liability, termination and governing law
You can stop using the app and delete your account at any time. We may suspend an account in case of abusive use (circumventing limits, unlawful contributions).
These terms are governed by French law. In the event of a dispute, an amicable solution will be sought before any action.
